Studio concept
Brackwater Civil Group A coastal contractor, built at the water’s edge
A site for a fictional heavy civil group in Georgia and the Carolinas: causeways, seawalls and pump stations, told with a waterline that runs the length of the page.

Studio concept: a fictional brand we designed and built end to end to show how we work. Names, listings, clients and figures on the site are invented.

01 — Challenge
The challenge
Coastal contractors work to tides, storm seasons and permit windows, and the public owners who hire them want proof before they invite a bid: the safety record, the bonding, the past work, the people who would run the job.
Brackwater is a fictional group that started with one barge crane in Savannah and now builds causeways, seawalls and pump stations across Georgia and the Carolinas. Its site had to answer those questions fast and still feel salt-weathered and confident, with a character no template could give it.
02 — Solution
Our approach The solution
We gave the brand a motif taken from the work itself: elevation. Every section carries its height above the water, and the page descends as you read, from the bridge deck in the hero to the waterline in the footer.
- An elevation readout that runs down the page, from EL +32.0 in the hero to EL +0.0 at mean lower low water in the footer
- A video hero, a floating pill navigation with dropdowns, and Archivo set wide and heavy against a lime accent
- Site search across projects, capabilities and news, a five-question fit check, prequalification and open bid scopes
- Responsive WebP image variants served from Bunny CDN, so photographs stay sharp without the weight
- An AI assistant with the 24/7 emergency line one tap away, and structured data for the company, news and every job posting
Under the brand sits a contractor platform built to be themed: colours, type, imagery and motion are per brand, while routes, content blocks, search and the Filament admin are shared. A second or third company starts from a theme and its own content, not a new build.

03 — Outcome
The outcome
Brackwater shows how we like to work: engineer the thing once, properly, and let the design do the differentiating. For groups with several companies, franchises or regional brands, that is the difference between maintaining one platform and maintaining five websites.
The company and its projects are invented. The engineering is real, and the site is live for you to explore.
